2025 INFINITI QX80 More Power Than Ever

The allure of the 2025 INFINITI QX80 extends beyond its design – right down to its powertrain that produces a powerful, rewarding drive. Set to debut on March 20, the newest QX80 delivers confidence and capability with a powertrain and chassis that were precisely engineered to empower the driver at every step of the journey.

At the heart of the 2025 QX80 is a refined and efficient VR35DDT 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged engine, rated for 450 horsepower and 515 lb-ft of torque – increases of 50 horsepower and 102 lb-ft versus the current generation. This is completed by a 9-speed automatic transmission with a 40% wider gear ratio, allowing for both responsive acceleration and efficient highway cruising. At highway speeds, active grille shutters close to reduce aerodynamic drag and aid fuel consumption. The new powertrain is projected to deliver improved acceleration and greater fuel economy.

Newly available Electronic Air Suspension and Dynamic Digital Suspension technologies work in tandem to adapt the new QX80 to the exact driving situation. In pursuit of INFINITI’s aim of delivering the absolute best, the air suspension automatically lowers when the SUV is parked to make it easier to enter, load, or unload luggage.

 The redesigned 2025 INFINITI QX80 will be revealed on March 20 starting at 7:00 PM EST on a livestream, which will be shared closer to the reveal date. The QX80 will also be on display at this year’s New York International Auto Show from March 29^th through April 7^th.
